A one-of-a-kind offering from the personal collection or original 1950's Mouseketeer Lonnie Burr. Lonnie's 1951 Christmas card (photos pictured on the card at top left are 1951; and others are taken earlier in Lonnie's career).

Holiday cards with photos were used to send a greeting while reminding casting directors, agent, producers and directors of the actor's availability. The reminders proved effective as the young actor continued to be cast in both television and film roles, eventually leading to his celebrated performances at the Walt Disney Studio as they hired the cast members for the Mickey Mouse Club. Lonnie was among the few Mouseketeers with substantial experience as a professional actor and dancer prior to signing his seven-year contract with Walt Disney Productions in 1955.

He remained under contract for all three seasons of the Mickey Mouse Club; one of only nine Mouseketeers to be featured during the entire original production of the series. This card was issued four years prior to the October 1955 premiere of the Mickey Mouse Club. Authenticating watermark not present on actual card. Vintage limited edition card measures 4.25" x 5.5"; no printing on reverse side of card.

Lonnie Burr starred as one of television's original Mouseketeers of the "Mickey Mouse Club", which also included Annette Funicello, Bobby Burgess, Cubby O'Brien, Karen Pendleton, Doreen Tracey, Sharon Baird, Tommy Cole and Darlene Gillespie... Along with adult leaders Jimmie Dodd and Roy Williams.

These talented performers were among the "original nine" who would appear on all three seasons of the program's daily episodes. Lonnie was honored to have been inducted as a Disneyana Legend on July 18, 2014 at the Disneyana Fan Club's annual "Legends Award" ceremonies. The following year, the Walt Disney Company celebrated the 60th anniversary of the Mickey Mouse Club by presenting Lonnie Burr and each of the Mouseketeers with one of the "Mousecar" Awards from Walt Disney's remaining personal inventory; still in storage after all these years. Beautifully restored and mounted for presentation, Film historian Leonard Maltin presented the awards with Rebecca Cline, Director of the Walt Disney Archives. In his Hollywood career both before and after the Mouseketeers, Lonnie worked with dozens of entertainment legends including Jimmy Stewart, Elvis Presley, Roy Rogers, Eddie Cantor, Bob Hope, Sammy Davis Jr. Robin Williams, Dinah Shore, Clayton Moore (The Lone Ranger), Ed Wynn, Carol Channing, Robert Preston, Jack Benny, Shirley MacLaine, Ginger Rogers, Charlie Ruggles, Abbott & Costello, Dean Martin, Buddy Ebsen, Jimmy Durante, Billy Crystal, Jerry Lewis, Angela Lansbury, Steven Spielberg, Gower Champion, Bob Fosse, Cecil B.
